On 2nd June 2016, Buckingham Palace announced the names of those Volunteer Organisations who were to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2016. See Yep Association was one of three organisations on Merseyside to receive this honourable award.

Her Majesty The Queen, places upon her Lord-Lieutenants, a specified task; to promote and support the QAVS. This specified task is then placed upon Lieutenancies / Deputy Lieutenants UK wide, to bring to the attention of their local Volunteer Groups the information relating to the QAVS. It is the MBE equivalent awarded to, a Volunteer Organisation. On Merseyside, the Lord-Lieutenant looks to her Deputy Lieutenants to promote the QAVS and to lend support where necessary to those organisations considering applying. We feel very proud and humble to be selected to receive The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

On Sunday 21st August 2016, Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside Dame Muirhead DBE, High Sheriff of Merseyside James Davies Esq OBE DL, and Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Martin Amlôt OBE OStJ DL accompanied by Clerk to the Lieutenancy Lieutenant Colonel Sean McEvoy presented the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service to see Yep Association.
