INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION 2022

See Yep Association has held its annual International Women's Day celebration on Sunday, 6th March at Chung Ku Restaurant. On that day, our VIP guests included the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Cllr Mary Rasmussen, Mrs. Daphne Amlôt, Leaders of the Chinese Community, representatives from Merseyside Police, partner organisations, old friends, and new friends. In total, there were 110 people attended the celebration.

At the beginning of the event, Ms. Ming Wang, our newly elected Chief Executive of the Ladies Group gave a welcome speech to everyone.  She mentioned the establishment process of the Ladies Group which was set up in 1986 and officially launched for more than 30 years. She thanked Chairman Mr. Ken Tam BEM BCAc, and the former Chief Executive of the Ladies Group, Mrs. Nancy Chan, for their selfless dedication.  Ming is the fourth Chief Executive of our Ladies Group since its establishment.  She is experienced, highly educated, and has leadership skills. We believe that under her leadership, our Ladies group will be vigorous and have more achievements.

In her speech, the Lord Mayor of Liverpool praised the traditional virtues of solidarity and indomitable Chinese in the UK.  Women are independent, strong, confident and have made significant contributions to their families and society, and have made great achievements in various fields.

Mrs. Liu M.B.E praised See Yep Association for providing a great platform for us all to exchange and learn from each other.  It promotes the development of Sino-UK cultural exchanges in Liverpool, and she hopes that See Yep Association will continue to thrive and to prosper.

Our First Vice Chief Executive of the Ladies Group Mrs. Anna Yu read out the sponsors names and thank them for all their supports.

Apart from the delicious gourmet Authentic Chinese food, we also had cultural performance from the Pagoda Arts Centre, Liverpool Qipao Association etc.

The final part was the lucky raffle draw, everyone was happy and the celebration is a complete success! The event was coordinated by all the hardworking and amazing ladies of See Yep Association and the Pagoda Centre. We thank them all, and thank everyone who got involved to make this possible, thank you to all the sponsors and everyone's precious time.
